Nlpmind aims to provide the best possible intervention for whatever concerns you. By combining the tools provided by NLP with Cognitive Hypnotherapy and recent research in Neuroscience we can make change a quick and fun experience.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming developed from the study of expert therapists to become a way of describing our interactions with others. We represent our understanding of the world to ourselves and others by the use of language.
How we use words to describe our experience can often determine the emotions we attach to that experience. By exploring the explanation an individual gives of their world it becomes possible to help change the effect of the accumulated verbal description, visual internal representations and the emotions attached to an event.
Doing something well, consistently, is not an accident, it is a process.
Doing something badly, consistently, is not an accident, it is a process.
NLP provides the tools to understand these processes and develop the individual’s ability to adapt what they do into processes that get them the results they want.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy accepts that when we learn behaviours, it is to deal appropriately with a current situation. Sometimes those behaviours become, in a way stuck, and are still in use after the situation they developed for has gone. This can cause us difficulties in our relationships with others and restrict our ability to achieve our goals. Those behaviours can stem from out of date beliefs that limit our potential in the here and now.
In Cognitive Hypnotherapy we believe that trance states are part of the normal experience of being human research suggests, we spend most of our day in some kind of altered state. Most people experience their issues as being beyond their control, as if some part of them takes over and makes them have the cigarette, eat the cake, run from the spider or go sick rather than give a presentation. This is a consequence of your unconscious trying to keep you safe, and it uses trance states to make it possible. In a way every time you do something you can’t control you’re ‘hypnotised’ by your unconscious into seeing, feeling or doing things a certain way. In Cognitive Hypnotherapy we see our job as ‘de-hypnotising’ you so that you have control over those aspects of your life that you want to be different, and are able to see, feel or do whatever gives you the greatest freedom. If trance states are part of the pattern of your problem, then they are also a powerful part of the solution
